Test drive (4) Candy-land nails + Lashes

[RU] Сегодня в моем маникюре еще один потрясающий лак из тест-драйва In a lily bit от China Glaze. Консистенция у этого лака не очень простая, и мне понадобилось три попытки, чтобы к ней приспособиться, но это того стоило! Сложность в том, что лак довольно густой и очень быстро сохнет. Так что первый слой необходимо класть очень быстро, аккуратно и в достаточном количестве, потому что все неровности первого слоя будут неизменно проглядывать под вторым. Более того, лак делает заметными все неровности ногтя (разумеется, даже при использовании базы), это видно на фотографии. Однако при использовании хорошего топа эти неровности становятся гораздо менее заметны, и лак выглядит невероятно красиво. Цвет лака без топа кажется более розовым, чем во флаконе, но под топом он светло-сиреневый. Мне очень нравится, что этот оттенок светлый, пастельный, но не тусклый.

[EN] Today I'm using a wonderful nail polish In a lily bit by China Glaze. The formula makes the polish uneasy to apply and I had to try three times to get familiar with it, but it really is worth the effort! The difficulty is that the polish is quite thick and dries very fast. So you should apply enough of it for the fist coat and do it fast and neatly, otherwise all the roughness'll be visible under the second coat. What's more, the polish makes all the nail's own roughness visible too (even with base coat that's surely used) - you can see it in the picture. However, if you use a good top coat, the roughness will smooth and the polish will look awesome! I think without a top the polish seems to be more pink than in the bottle and under the top it's purple-ish. I like this pastel shade a lot, it's light but not dull.

 

[RU] Такой сладкий цвет я решила сочетать с другим аппетитным оттенком, чтобы ногти выглядели конфетно. Для сочетания я выбрала тоже холодный оттенок - светло-бирюзовый Rimmel 60seconds: Breakfast in bed. Без топа оба лака смотрятся на ногтях несколько плоско и неестественно, но с топом получается очень органично. Для доведения до конца идеи конфетной страны я "обсыпала" ногти "топпингом для кексов", как будто я их окунула в настоящий кулинарный бисер:) Дизайн очень простой и незатейливый, но он передает ту вкусную идею, которую я в него вложила.
[EN]  I decided to combine this sweet color with another delicious cool shade to make the nails look like candies. I chose Rimmel 60seconds: Breakfast in bed. Without a top coat both polishes look a bit flat and artificial, but the top improves everything. To go on transferring my idea of candy land into the nail art, I "spread" some "cupcake topping" over the nails as if I'd really dipped them into sweet beads:) The design's super-simple and it looks very tasty.

[EN] Afterwards, I couldn't help myself baking some cookies with eatable colorful topping!

[RU] Также я впервые попробовала воспользоваться накладными ресницами в полосках Ardell, которые получила для тест-драйва. Я осталась довольна качеством и удобством приклеивания ресниц.
[EN] I've also tried out strip artificial lashes for the first time - I have got some of them in the test drive kit. These are lashes by Ardell and I can say they're very high quality and easy to use.

[RU] Чтобы приклеить ресницы нужен специальный клей, который прилагается, но еще у меня есть целый тюбик такого. Клей белый, пока влажный, и прозрачный, когда высыхает. Я думаю, этот клей очень удобно использовать, потому что видно, достаточно ли вы нанесли его на полоску ресниц, а потом при носке он невидимый. Единственной сложностью было приклеить ресницы к внутреннему углу глаза, потому что клей терял клейкость из-за того, что я часто моргала. Непривычно, когда на глазах вообще косметика, что говорить о целых ресницах! Удалять ресницы тоже очень легко - просто потянуть за уголок - зато при задевании спереди или сбоку они остаются в порядке - это внушает уверенность. Могу заключить, что накладные ресницы Ardell очень качественные, но лично для меня носить их - не вариант, поскольку никак нельзя скрыть их искусственность и неправдоподобную длину, несмотря на то, что они сделаны из натуральных человеческих волос. 
[EN] To stick the lashes you need the glue which is in the pack, and I also have a hole tube of it. The glue is white when it's wet and clear when dries. I think it's very convenient to use it as you can see whether there's enough glue on the strip and then it's invisible when you wear the lashes. After the glue has been exposed to the air for half a minute it's quite easy to secure the lash strip on the line. The only difficulty was to attach the lashes to the inside corner of my eye as the glue was losing its adhesiveness when I was blinking. (I'm not used to wearing any make-up over my eyes, let alone the whole lashes!) It's easy to remove the lashes too - just pull the outer side - at the same time they're secure if you touch them accidentally. To sum up I'd say that Ardell lashes are a harmless product of very high quality but I won't ever use or buy artificial lashes as you can always see they aren't natural - too long and too much volume in spite of being made of human hair. 

[RU] Хотя, уверена, для костюмированной вечеринки или какого-нибудь шоу они очень подойдут. Мне кажется, такой кукольный образ подходит к моему девичьему маникюру.

[EN] However, I'm absolutely sure Ardell lashes will be a perfect choice for a party or a show. I think my girlish nails go together well with these doll lashes.
